Established in 1996, the Manchester Jazz Festival is a high quality 9 day musical event, with over 300 musicians playing at 60 gigs. This festival usually takes place at the end of July and can be located right at the city centre. Manchester Jazz Festival celebrates the regions vibrant music scene with a specific focus on contemporary jazz musicians. It promotes talent based in the North West regions and commissions new work by young musicians.
